About Dawn
Dawn grew up, married her husband Don, and had two beautiful daughters in the tight-knit community of Port Alberni.
When their children were young, Dawn followed her husband’s dream and together they moved to the Yukon. There they had a kennel of Alaskan Huskies, and Don took tourists out by dog team to enjoy the beautiful Yukon winter and northern lights.
After 12 years up north they moved again, settling down just south of Edmonton. Dawn worked as an Optometric Assistant in Whitehorse, and spent 10 years working in Office Administration and Human Resources in Edmonton.
Still loving to work with dogs, Dawn and Don got a Belgian Shepherd puppy named Ranger. After many many hours of training, Ranger is now certified in live search and disaster rescue!
Dawn, Don, and Ranger now call Nanaimo home and are here to stay. They enjoyed their tour of BC, Alberta, and the Yukon but there is no place like home!
She is thrilled to be at Pinpoint Physiotherapy and is looking forward to meeting you.
Dawn at a glance
- Grew up loving nature, hiking and backpacking
- Loves animals and considered becoming a veterinarian
- Taught two birds to talk, a budgie and a cockatiel
- Raised a kennel of very energetic huskies
- Had a dog team join her on the porch for a pet much to the dismay of the musher on the sled
- Currently learning to play the flute and the ukulele
