Joe Box

Physical Therapist

About Joe

Education, experience, and an analytical mind set Joe apart. He’s here to help clients set reachable goals to get their health on track.

While some people attend physio with a clear goal in mind, many do not: Joe’s strength is in setting reachable goals with his clients while providing the guidance to achieve them.

Thorough & engaged

When working with clients, Joe is thorough and engaged. He loves a good diagnostic challenge, and his favourite conditions to treat include chronic stiff necks, shoulder injuries, trochanteric bursitis, and iliotibial band syndrome.

Joe has found his most successful outcomes are a result of treatment that focuses on education and exercise, often augmented with manual therapy and dry needling techniques such as IMS and acupuncture.

An active & focused owner

It’s been said that active people make the best physiotherapists, and in this regard Joe is more than qualified!

Growing up he focused on team sports, especially soccer, baseball, volleyball, and basketball. Today Joe is an avid whitewater and flatwater paddler with 30+ years experience in all types of craft. So if you’re an outrigger or dragon boat paddler with a shoulder or back injury, Joe is the man to see!

Outside of work, if he’s not playing with his daughters you’ll most likely find Joe whitewater kayaking, training in his surfski, ski-touring in the back country, or mountain biking nearby.
